Service Magic?

Any one use them ever to get leads? Seems cheap enough. 99 to set up plus around 12 bucks per lead if you take it. ONly bad thing is you take the lead before you know the address or anything. Could be ugly. They also give out 2 other contractor's names so it will be a bidding war. But, 12 bucks is pretty cheap. Think it is actually cheaper for maintenance and stuff. Around 8 bucks, I think.

Thought about service magic also. It seems like a good idea in theory. However, after asking what some other service professionals thought and none had heard of it, I decided to pass since even fewer potential clients have used it. Seems to me like $99 initiation fee or 'sunk cost' is really a 'sunk cost'.

If i take the leads they run $8.00 to $20.00 depending on the type of lead. at the start they send me the basic info if (Zip Code and Job type) if i take the lead they charge my account the lead fee and then send me the contact information. I then make contact with the client.

I get Sprinkler sytem, fence repair, Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping Job leads

So they send you the zip code and type of work, then you decide if you want it or not?

Do they indicate if it is a one time or recurring job (seasonal fertilization or mowing)?

If you decide you want it do they then charge your account and send you the contact info?

Do the leads seem to be worthwhile so far?

Thanks for feedback.

Yes, if you have a fax number i will send you a copy of the basic info they fax me.

>Do they indicate if it is a one time or recurring job (seasonal >fertilization or mowing)?

You can tell this by the job type.

>If you decide you want it do they then charge your account and >send you the contact info?

If you accept the lead they add the charge to your account and every friday the debit my bank account for that invoice. Each invoice pirod runs from Wednesday to Tuesday.

>Do the leads seem to be worthwhile so far?

I have spent somewhere around $200.00 (on sign up and leads)so far and made around $2500.00
