Tanaka introduces two "inspire" design chain saws at gie + expo 2008

Tanaka Engineering U.S.A., Ltd. (Tanaka USA) today introduced the TCS-3301PFS and TCS-3351PFS "Inspire" design chain saws which feature honeycomb-shaped, maximum strength outer plastic housings. Manufactured with PA6 GF30 (Polyamide 6, Glass Fiber 30%), this material features outstanding strength and rigidity and is more than twice as strong as similar products using ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic housings.

Common features between both models include S-Start which reduces pull-force by 50 percent, auto choke return, side-access chain tensioner, Oregon® bar and chain, and soft elastomer grip. In addition, both chain saws are powered by a new 32 cc, 1.6 h.p. PureFire® two-stroke engine.

"We are excited to introduce another "Inspire" design product category," said Jeff Wright, vice president of sales and marketing for Nikko Tanaka USA. "Tanaka now has seven 'Inspire' design models in three product categories."

The TCS-3301PFS top handle saw weighs 9.1 lbs. (powerhead only), comes with a 12" or 14" Oregon® bar and chain, and includes a retractable lanyard ring. The TCS-3351PFS rear handle chain saw weighs 9.3 lbs. (powerhead only), comes with a 12" or 14" Oregon® bar and chain, and features a four-point anti-vibration system.

In addition, both saws feature a two-year commercial use warranty and three-year consumer use warranty. Effective November 1, 2008, all Tanaka products will feature a 10-day money-back guarantee.

Tanaka, located in booth #1084, will be displaying and demoing all seven "Inspire" design models which include two chain saws, one blower, and four grass trimmers as well as its entire line of two-stroke power equipment at GIE + EXPO 2008. The "Inspire" design for power equipment is based on the award-winning Hitachi Power Tools industrial design. Eventually, the entire Tanaka lineup will be converted to the "Inspire" design.
