Looking for one of these...

I typically go through 1 or 2 measuring wheels per year. They are always getting crushed in the back of the truck or broken one way or another. About 6 or 7 years ago I bought this measuring wheel from the local Lesco, I didn't like it at first because you have to twist the dial back to "0000" each time to reset it. However, after a few years this became my GO TO measuring wheel...I just can't kill it! We have the need to pick up a few more wheels this spring & I would love to get a few more of these instead of the traditional ones from Home Depot that I always demolish.

So my questions are:

Has anyone ever seen this style before? Anyone know where I could pick a few up? Lesco doesn't carry them any longer...

If not, does anyone have a measuring wheel they love?

They look easy enough to fabricate/make, but I know that I'll never get around to that...

Thanks...

That's great news! Which city was it in? Do you happen to have a phone number for that location? Thank you!

I just saw one today and thought about buying it. It was at a place called DIRECT VALUE OUTLET...they have a web site. It was $26.95 I believe.

Pro Turf, the JD Landscapes is about 15 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. The manager who I deal with is Brad. The number is 412-364-2195. Call and ask for Brad. Tell him that the high school kid, Nolan referred you to him. He is very helpful.
On a side not, I wanted to say that you run an awesome company. I look to this thread and your company for inspiration to run a top notch business. I am a sophomore in high school and only work in my neighborhood. I don't have my license yet so I just walk behind by 44" hydro mower or ride my tractor with a trailer. I am always eager to see your work and pictures. There are some good companies around here, but you seem to one up any company. Whether it be uniforms, logo on everything, clean equipment, your awesome shop, or your good employees, you run an amazing company.

Nolan & everyone else...thank you for your help! I thought this was a shot in the dark to find one of these wheels...I'm glad to hear they are still out there!

Nolan...thank you very much for the kudos! You are on the right path being started so young in business...just keep working hard & don't get caught up with getting "big"...just focus on developing a good work ethic, learning the ropes & taking things day by day...it will all come together before you realize it.

Thanks again everyone...
