My last employer was a tree care company that also owned xmas tree farms.
It was a great business for 40 years, they sold 10's of thousands of trees each year. Until about 10 years ago when the big box stores began selling trees cheap just to get people in the door. Our business was cut in half.

If you have a visible location with good traffic that doesn't cost much, you can add some additional money during a downtime of year. Be sure you have a low cost way to dispose of unsold trees.

We would chip hundreds of trees rather than sell them cheap because the owner felt that would encourage people to buy late at better prices. But he also had a plan to take all his money with him when he died.

does anyone know where their is a place to dump landscaping debris around ocean city??

Is it to late to seed and/or sod a lawn? I hve never done either this late into the year adn just curious as I had a customer ask. Thanks

Tuckahoe turf farms is the place I deal with and they cut sod until a week before christmas, however I am unsure of that seems a little late. Was wondering the same thing on my end have a customer that wants 1500sqft. I am nervous about the weather, any suggestions would be appreciated.
