Nice pics man.....you have some nice equipment.

Do you have any problems dethatching in the spring with crab grass. In my turfgrass management courses they taught us to never dethatch in the spring because you are increasing the chances of crab grass seeds pollinating. They told us to always dethatch in the fall.....maybe its different in michigan. Since being taught this I have always tried steering customers away from spring dethatch and do it when we do the fall clean-ups etc.

Everything looks nice though....keep up the good work and make some money this year!

Beats me.. I honestly am not sure. Everyone is calling and wants it done NOW.. not later.. they need it done NOW! (Like their lawn isn't going to live if I don't do it..)

Maybe I should look into it.

Lets see if I can answer all this!

I have an Exmark Metro 48, Bobcat ZT219 (19hp, 52") and a ZT227 (27hp, 61"). I love the Bobcats, they're light, ride nicely, and are pretty inexpensive. I think they cut great also. If I get another mower it might be a GrandStand, not sure. That or another 61 Bobcat ZTR.

We do about 60 residential and some large commercial accounts, and I sub fert. and weed control out to another guy in our area, so I dont have to worry about it, but that way I can offer full-service to all my customers, and make a few extra bucks.

That red plow is a Boss 7'6", and my 2500 has a Western 8'6". I like the Western more, the Boss (which I bought new this winter) has too many issues, leaks, etc. The Western is solid.

We have 6 commercial accounts and about 50 houses. Plus we do some sub work for another large company, which includes plowing assembly plants and business parks, etc. Works out really well.

We dont have any v-hops yet, but will for next winter. We just used a hitch-mount this year and bagged salt, it was crazy! We went through about 600 80lb bags of salt (My arms got strong)

As for trucks, we have the white F150, the green 1500, and a 98 Chevy 2500. I gotta get some pics of that also. Plus my personal red F150 and my partner's Silverado 1500, which both get used here and there.

Done.

Dont know abut future trucks, if all goes well my partner and I are going to get two new Chevy 2500 Duramax's and put 8'2" V's on them

But.. that's if all goes well.. haha. We'll see what happens.

I actually got the old leaf loader running, but now it's mounted on the dump rather than the pickup. Cant wait for the snow to melt so I can try it.
