Kohler, hands down. Have one on my troy bilt ztr, exmark lazer z, and miller welder. They are work horse engines.

kawaski has power, starts great ,little or no hassell even with warranty issues also foun out you can run one about 400 hours without changing oil until it pops

our industry is like these trucks, it all depend on the dealer and how good service you can get, i am a die hard chevy man but luckly had no trouble if i did i would be s.o.l. just like where i work our products are very good but we make it the best because of our service , i guess i am trying to say you could have the best of anything but if you have bad service you should have bought the yugo

Until a year ago, I'd say Honda was number one, then Kaw, then the others. But after using the new Briggs Intec, I was a changed man. Changed oil after about 40 or 50 hours. Then ran it for another 250 hours without an oil change. Never used a drop of oil. Oil stayed fairly clean too (Castrol Syntec). Go figure??? Briggs finally now has an engine that compares?

Under 15 hp I'd buy a Honda

Over 15hp I'd by a Kawi or the newer Briggs
