job estimating

hi everyone. i am starting a lawn care business this spring. something i have always wanted to do, and now is the time. i am wondering what is the best way to correctly estimate a job (mowing etc). any help would be greatly appreciated. i dont want to lose my shirt the first season! any advice anyone can give me on launching my business correctly would be greatly appreciated.

Hi... since your new here... in the top right corner of the page is "search" just type in what info. you want to learn about and it will come up. Estimating has been discussed many times in here, so there will be tons of info. for you to read.

Estimating is different for everyone. there are far to many variables to take into consideration. A search will help you get any info. you may need. Good Luck

thank you for the reply. i am really looking forward to starting up. i have been a member here for an hour and i have learned A TON already! any further start up help you could give would be greatly appreciated

One thing to keep in ming when estimating is dog crap. It is something that most people don't account for. Make sure you have a good price set on an account with dog poop or you will regret it. How do others feel about this?
