A question about a bid

Hey guys here is a pic from google earth of a property i am submitting a bid on. I have figured up $1050.00 a month. All they want done is mowing weed eating edging and blowing off. Is this to high or to low.

If I remember right from when I was at Ft Hood its about 1-1.5 hour drive to get to Waco form Copperas Cove. Seems like a long way to drive if your coming from Copperas Cove for that small of a place.

I agree but since all of the apartments in Cove and Killeen do not take new bids I am moveing all of my commercial work up there. I hate the "OLD BOYS NETWORK" its the same with the builders her. Unless you have been in business for 10+ years they wont evan talk to you. What happened to giving the new guy a chance?

if it's the complex your talking about, your price seems cheap. Looks like a ton of trimming. After expense's your not going to make much.

figure out how long it will take you, then divide that by your daily rate, multiply it by how many times they want it cut for the year, then divide that by however many months your contract is

No, having to have been in the business for 10+ years by itself is not "OLD BOYS NETWORK,"
it is a requirement and we don't have to like it but that might be all it is, now I'll fill you in:

The Old Boys Network is when Johnny and Billy and the whole gang of buddy-buddy punks line each other's pockets and hook
themselves and each other up while flat out rejecting and ignoring and pushing out the newcomer.
To where you're either one of "them," or you're a nobody.
To where if you weren't born exactly at 2:31:45 am on February 29th of 1972 you are not one of "them" and can not be and never
will be, to where you have to do certain things to be "accepted" and if you ever are accepted then you have to act just like them
and ho boy lawdie lawd help you should you think otherwise?
THAT is the "old boys network."

There is a difference, now if you get to a point where you've got 10 years in and they all still give you the brush off then you
might have ran into this old boy thing, although I do agree it's a bit of an odd requirement and it definitely would put me on alert
as to such a network... However, in and of itself this requirement is in no way indication that it exists.

Just had to say that, hopefully them folks out your way ain't like that.

Unfortuanantly they are that way. I have evan been told that in order to evan submit a bid I can not use sub contractors for anything and that I need a $3 million general liability policy. My insurance company who is a industry specific has never heard of or written a policy that large for an apartment complex. They told me that they have such a high requirement so the little guy who wont have that much of a policy wont evan try to submit a bid. All I am asking for is to let me submit a bid. I would love to get it but how do I know where my Prices stand if they wont evan let me try.
