your trailer

In my opinion your trailer may be in pieces. When mine was stolen the sheriff said after 72 hours...everything is possible. Could be down south...in pieces.... in junk yard or part of another home built trailer or sold off a part at a time. Ken

Lol, your really fired up over this huh?

No offense, but I think your proposal to put barcodes on trailers is ridiculous.

I don't want the government regulating trailer sales just because you lost a $800 homemade landscape trailer.
Your proposal is so off the wall, its funny.

Why would they put any more effort into keeping track of trailers then cars?

Just chock it up to a lesson learned, don't leave your **** outside if your afraid of getting robbed.

I would bet you 10 to 1 that your trailer got stolen by someone who is not using it to haul junk cars and scrap metal.

Hang out around some scrap yards, and ask the scale operator about your trailer.

I suppose the right thing to do is to continue making trailers with no serial numbers. Do nothing to make them identifiable. Just let the thieves take em. They can take em to the auctions and sell em, nobody is looking. They gotta eat too. I hope they take everything you got. Outside a/c unit too. They really enjoy selling them. And leave you with just the wife. The police can't figger out what belongs to who. They can't find their own **** when it gets gone. EVERYTHING is working in favor of the thieves.

Oh yeah, I found the sob but I didn't find the trailer. And yes the scrap yard people know him well. The investigator told me he had a friend there and they would keep an eye out. I waited too long to go there myself. He lied. He is a sob and helped him. Yeah I'm fired up and still ready for a killing. A deputy in the next county over was caught with about 15 stolen and other things. We supposed to trust them. They can't tell the truth but want us too. What a joke.
