Everything looks good, except for the ugly pvc pipe that is visible in the pond. And in the 2nd set of pics you might have planted to close to the grass edge. Next yr you'll be cutting the crap out of those plants. Did you build the steps in the 1st set of pics?

Post #11. third pic. Those plants are right next to the grass, and the edges are not straight. It should be redone. Woulnt take an hour.

The stairs look great! Can you explain a bit about the construction as far as base, footers, block, adhesives or mortar used? Any pics of your process?

You asked what everyone thinks right?
Here's what I think...The planting w/ the tiller in the bed...You have existing shrubs that need thinning, some are invasive and a couple look stressed. The new plants will look fine for a short while but will become invasive as well, a bit hodge podged. The front planting...Too many straight lines, as least 1 arb will be a problem in a few years. The bed on the water edge...what they said. The stone work, you said you built all of it? It looks pre-existing, aside from the repairs that were made on the top few courses that look to be reset or tuck pointed (the mortar isn't even close)...Are you sure you built that, because were talking about 2 completely different skill levels, when compairing that w/ the plantings. Not trying to be hard nosed, but what's up?
