Seating new purge bulb in ECHO

Old bulb was cracked, so bought a replacement. New purge bulb will click and seat in the keeper if I pull the keeper out of the housing, but if I put the keeper in the housing, and then try to seat the purge bulb, it will not click and seat.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why. Has anyone else ever been though this?

Thanks,

Bill

Do measure the new and old bulb, there is more than one size.

Good luck, Phil
