Getting ready for the season to start and thinking of more advertisement and was wondering whats the round about % of calls off of flyers? Was thinking of putting out 30k

WOW 30k that's a lot I wish I could afford that, whats that runing you and how are you getting them out, I hope not door to door

I walked approximately 5 miles and put out about 150 fliers in about 3 hours.


I got 2 calls, and one job. But one job got me going last year and it was a god-send.

30,000 is a lot of fliers. Only way I could think about getting that many out is to find a mall parking lot and hit the cars, but, that raises issues.

Also, if your doing that quantity, might want to mail them.

Not to step on white garden, Up here in new york you have to be quick and careful going to parking lots to hand out flyers, I don't know what its like else where, I had a buddy of mine go down to my local mall and handout flyers, well hes not welcome back

Also I was going to do mailers flyers and door hangers this year, till I saw the ratio, I now decided to have my local penny saver do this for me, also they target the areas i want, so it works out, they print and mail everything for me, I forgot what I paid last year but it wasn't much.

30k flyers is running me around $800.00 and yes I'm going door to door to distribute them. In the past I've done 6k - 10k in one area and found some great area's over the past few months thus thinking 30k should get me the customers I'm looking for. The area that I've done before has an average of 135 house's per street and have knocked out 6k in about 3 with me and one other helper.. As for a mall parking lot I wouldn't even attempt it knowing its illegal and a friend of mine got nabbed while doing flyer a few years back for his pizza place

I agree, the idea was just something thrown out there. I don't think it necessarily looks good for business and yes, you might get in trouble.

bump...... come on guys what percent have you seen ? I'm thinking 2% ?

Our % was about .6% response in 2007. That means that for every 1,000 that we put out, we got 6 customers. However in 2008, it was .25%, thus getting 2 and a half customers per 1,000 flyers. AND we have pretty nice flyers ..
