And I was under the impression that your biz was just your dad and you! Guess not!

Definately nice, but it looks like you need more room, lol.

During the summer, do they leave the equipment on the trailers and back them in the shop and leave the trucks out, or do the trailers get unloaded and unhooked every afternoon? I think the Ideal set-up is a long shop that can hold the truck and trailer hooked up with room in the back to drop the gate and run equipment on/off.

yeah, just took the pics on the fly, i have a real camera!!!!!

we unload every night. leave the trailers connected most of the time. the shop is drive through, door on both sides and a side lot gate too. so we pull in and unload and then drive through to the lot. works really great.

we custom designed the shop and built it 4 or 5 years ago.

yes, this company is owned by my dad and me, him first though. i have done this for like 15 yrs.

why do you choose to unload every night? That must eat up atleast one hour a day per crew so roughly = 15hrs a week with a 3 man crew

why would you leave your high dollor equipment outside to get rained on and such!?!?

it takes like 5 mins to unload a trailer and such, no time at all.

um you would buy an enclosed trailer....I don't know many large companies that still use open trailers for maintenance just because of how much time gets eaten up by just simply loading/unloading everyday.

5 mins, really....well I'm not going to argue with you but I can garuantee you it takes you more time then that. I know, I have a open trailer and I also worked for a large company that had one open and three enclosed trailers. The guys with the encloseds pulled out way before the other guys did......

To each his own, I just know thats gotta eat a lot into payroll.
