moisture sensors

Hi wondering what experiences you have had with moisture sensors , pro, cons, are they much more costl to install, or are they worth putting in.

Thanks for the site I've already check it out, sounds like the cheese grater and the cones should get together, grater can shave some ice put it in the cones and mix it with cool- aid, yep sounds like cool-aid drinkers to me, ha ha, I hurt myself on that one,
