Mats for Excavator

Where is the best place to get mats or can I make them from wood?
It is for my Kubota 161-3.

It was one mat 8'X12' long. I took the chainsaw and cut it in 3 sections making three 4'X8' long mats for the mini's. They work good. I'll get you some contact info tomorrow when I go by the office.

I have been wanting to try those Alturna type mats. Probably wont be this year but I thought if they worked and you bought a couple a year, it would help. I think these excavator mats are for deep mud. The Alturna mats wouldn't be able to hold the machine up.

Yeah i use them a lot for going over peoples lawns. They hold up real nice it looks more professional to going to a job with them. Plywood became a pain always breaking and moving around. The alturna mats come with hooks to that interlock into each other so they don't move around as much.

We did a patio this fall and the client asked what we would do if the lawn was like a golf course and I didn't really have a good answer. We usually tear stuff up and either sod or hydroseed it, maybe this would prevent most of the damage. In a long term project, do you pick it up everyday and move it?
