When you upload an attachment it is already given a name and location. But if you just allow the forum software to leave the image in the "attachment box" at the end of your post you'll never know what it is. Instead, after uploading the image click on the attachment icon again and then click the file you uploaded. This will insert the image into your post. From now on you can copy and paste the image in a different post and it should show up. Alternatively you can right click the image and select properties, then copy the URL. Next simply use the insert image icon and paste the URL.

So, this image below is an attachment. It is posted within the post and the URL is http://www.lawnsite.com/attachment.p...3&d=1238179865. Now I can post it anywhere if I so choose.

I'm new here but I would like to see when a thread is moved from one section to another that the redirect be made to expire. It is sometimes difficult to sort through moved threads from non-moved threads.

THE only thing I'd love to see is a notice when someone reply's to a comment or post.
(Example. like on facebook when someone makes a comment on a picture you get a e-mail.) But make it optional, I think the people with stuff for sale or folks that use the mechanic form would love it!
besides that, a great site

Lawnsite I love you guys - but your page load times are getting worse and worse by the day. Doesn't matter if I'm on the corporate connect or my wireless at home, it's getting steadily worse. YSlow is reporting 30-40 second load times... although it seems to only happen every few page loads. Maybe look into something like nginx or lighttpd ... haproxy or some sort of load balancing ... I'm not sure if vBulletin supports it but I've made massive decreases in load times with memcached+nginx. At minimum gziping your content will make a difference.

Other wise this is a great site and really helped me a lot. Thanks Mike

Old info is just as good a new info, really old info is a good way to see change in trends concepts methods and attitudes about the industry, I have brought a 3 or 4 year old fossilized thread back to life before myself funny as hell when it was politely pointed out to me.

I'm not sure if it can be done on a site like this (I'm computer illiterate) but some type of search would be nice. For instance I am just a homeowner who likes to keep a nice lawn. Therefore i went out and purchased a new walker mtghs 26efi . As a matter of fact I just picked it up yesterday. 2005 with 125 hrs. It came from another homeowner like me ,he just wanted a newer model. Paid 8350 for it and it was very clean.Iwould like to be able to search the site with a keyword like Walker so i can learn more about this mower without going through every thread unless I want to. Other than that I am very excited about finding this site. Every poster seems to be very knowledgeable and are very generous about giving technical info. Keep up the great work!

there is one area that i don't think is covered, and that is flowers and floral forum. i know it is a wide range, i think plants and flowers should be completely separate from other parts of the industry, unless i missed it .
