Delivering some flyers

I'm trying something new this year... Going to be putting out my first batch of 2000 flyers. Usually I do it during the week, but don't have the time to really do that, and with presidents day this weekend and valentines day, I'm planning on dropping them on Sunday.

Does anyone see anything wrong with that?

I didn't have the money to do postcard type advertising, so I'm going to just go door to door flyers. I was thinking about just putting some scotch tape on their doors eye level facing outboard. People out here don't have screen doors.

Sundays and scotch tape... Sound like a bad idea? In about a month or so, I'm going to do normal post card/direct mail advertising.

Out here, now is the best time to be dropping flyers

I would advise against taping them to doors because if they pull it off and it leaves a mark you'll have a bunch of angry calls. Just my thought.

Yes, tape pulls the paint right off my front door. Maybe rubberbands and most..

I was just going to tape them to the glass part of the door. Without a screen door, how else should I do it instead of tape? Rubberbands look hoky to me... Just trying to think outside the box

I always just rolled the flyers into a tube and they would basically stay put between the knob and frame. Or if the door had a handle I'd put them there.

NO TAPE! Ever..... Roll, fold, or just place it on the door handle.

I wish it was that easy... I'm probably just going to put them be just throwing them between the door and the frame, maybe try rolling them into the frame. There is no handle, just a knob. Makes in a bit difficult. This is my first year advertising in this area.

Anyways, Sunday a good day to drop flyers or is it more effective to do it a different day. I'm sure theres no right or wrong answer. Seems like it would be on peoples minds more on a Sunday. Nothing else really going on

I'm not saying this is the best way to do it, but I like to do it on weekdays before people get home from work because my theory is this: When people get home from work or picking the kids up from school most usually go for the mailbox and then go inside. I figure they will get the mail, grab the flyer and throw it on the counter or table. Than, when they go through the mail, the flyer would be right there. Maybe I've done a little too much thinking about this, but it has worked for me. Best of luck!

Sometimes the tape doesn't hold..... use a tackhammer and nails.... )

seriously, no tape, no rubberbands... MOST people are annoyed with junkmail and advertisements. NO sense in making things worse by using tape, plastic bags with rocks...etc...

keep it simple... and make it simple for the customer to either A) look at or B) throw it away....
