I've noticed that most everyone uses Shindaiwa, Stihl, or Redmax.....what about Echo? I always thought they had pretty good stuff. Is there a certain reason ya'll dont use them? Just kinda curious about that. I use the echo commercial model trimmers and blowers and havent had any problems.<p>Youngster<p>----------<br>Cashin' in on Others Laziness!!!!<br>

I have them, have for years. They're maybe not quite as good as the other 3 brands mentioned.<p>I don't know about longevity, I buy new every year. (2 years on BPB's)<p>Always been reliable for me.

I'm using the Echo PB2000 hand blower, and I've used 'em for years. Like 'em a lot. I bought a Stihl hand blower once and liked it, too, but it didn't last any longer or serve me any better than the Echo, and the Echo was cheaper. I probably buy one every 1 1/2 to 2 years, though I'll probably buy and Echo or Stihl backpack blower this time around...<p>-TGC

I bought a 2100 echo trimmer 2 years ago. used it 3 weeks. hated it. took it back!<p>that doesn't mean it wasn't a good trimmer. I just means I hated it. it was, however, very smooth running.<p>I use a 1500 echo hedge trimmer. it's the most proffitable piece of equipment I own.<br> bought it as a return to home depot for 50 bucks! no way to go wrong with that thing!<p>GEO

I think Echo is ok at best. I currently have a HC 1500 hedge trimmer and SRS 2100 Agressor. They both run, but not as well as our Shindaiwa equipment. I have had 5 or 6 SRM 2400's and a couple of PE 2400's, they just seemed to run poorly after 6 months or so. I kept buying them thinking they were as good as anything else. I thought this way until I bought my first Shindaiwa. I think Lazer once mentioned that he thought the 2400 series stuff was much more prone to trouble than the 2100 series. After thinking about what has always given us more trouble...I have to agree.

Had some Echo trimmers that were okay but lacked the kickass power that the bigger husqavana have for knocking down the forests.

I have bought 3 2601's and love 'em. Stay clear of the 2100's they are cable drives .You need a shaft drive on a trimmer to be any good .<p>Has any one tryed a Edgit guide , I like mine.

I've got mostly Echo, partly because I think it is as good as any and partly because there is a good dealer a half mile away. I've got one Shindaiwa Power Broom and a second T270 converted to a broom,, the thing was too much of a club to use as a trimmer, in my opinion. Just bought a 2600 split boom,, we'll see how it pans out.
