I saw a ducati at a leather shop here and i was impressed to say the least. What a machine. It was riden hard to. The owner was in his 40's i would say and a hardcore rider. I watched him leave and i think his front wheel was on the ground for 2 seconds of a trek around a shopping complex and the main road.

You have apparently never seen the Ducati 1198 R Corse, that bike is insane. It is the actual bike that wins championships each year.

Both of those bikes are fast. However, I'm not really into rockets. I'm into motocross, have been racing for 10 years. Now a 450cc 4-stroke, that will rip your arms off.

I run suzuki. How do you like adjusting valves with the unicam? A buddy of mine that's pretty good with engines who races kawis (basically same engine as suz) first helped me with adjusting valves helped a buddy of ours do his valves, but it was on a Honda, let's just say my buddy still isn't happy to this day and that the valve adjustment has stopped all of his riding on that bike from this point on. But my buddy who has the honda was never into racing and riding a lot, just the occasional racer, so it wasn't like he had to have the motor ready immediately.

Why did you stop racing? I assume that if you're injured you can't operate the business? That's the same reason I have slowed down on the racing, at this time I'm still the owner/operator and if were to get hurt, I wouldn't be able to be out in the field and I'd have to hire more employees to cover for me.

That's exactly why I got out of racing in 2002. Kids and being an owner/operator and a wife who stays home will make you think twice about doing hazardous things. Add in sucky insurance and you won't be on any bike. I took up knitting!!!!

The only mechanic work I did was changing tires and sprokets! I was sponsored by a local shop who is pretty big down here and they worked on all of my bikes. I quit racing because I simply didnt have time and I joined the army. I always have thoughts of getting back into it
