I have a flat rate charge of $225.00 for the first three hours, drive time included.
Once the three hours are up then it is $65.00/hour under 98*F.
Once over 98*F, then the charge is $85.00/hour.
For instance, a customer lives thirty minutes away - so they get two hours of shredding at the flat rate. Anything over is charged accordingly.
And I have measured temperatures as high as 135*F on the operator's platform while shredding. It is commonly over 100*F by 10:00am from as early as late May through mid to late October.
Unless the terrain is extremely rough, I average about 4 acres per hour without winrowing.

Then get better clients.
I am up front with shredding or bush hog work. I readily admit to hating it, I readily admit I'd rather have dental surgery without anesthesia than bush hog and if I am going to melt on a tractor in 100*+ heat I'm getting paid for it or no work.
So far I average about 40 hours every six months or so and quite frankly I don't care to do more.

amen..if he did he could afford an A/C cab tractor so no matter if it cold--hot--dusty--raining--or whatever....$65.00 per hour for 8ft..$75.00 for 15ft batwing....BUT 99.9% of our work is contract and is base on the complete job not by the hour.

Usually 55-60 bucks an hour, plus fuel surcharge for driving. Bust for posthole digging, usually 3 to 5 bucks a hole, depending on rock.
