Reading in one of the threads here, was mention of the wheels on the GS are adjustable, as to moving in or out changing the wheel base .. Is this so ?
Looking at the 19/48 GS, it seemed to be short on the left side /trim side of the mower deck.. If the wheels can be adjusted I could ask the dealer to see if they came in the out position verses the in .. If they could be adjusted in , it would most likely give the trim cut that I would prefer ..

Yes, it is true that the GrandStand is designed with two mounting positions that offer two different drive tire stances. The products are assembled at the factory such that the narrower position is used for 48" models, and the wider position is used for 52" models. It is possible to utilize the narrower mounting position on 52" models to yield more deck overhang if desired. However, the drive tire stance of the 48" cannot get any narrower than its factory setting.

Despite what may appear to be a minimal amount of deck overhang, the geometry of the machine leads to trimming characteristics that are actually quite good. The unit could have been designed with more deck overhang (in fact early prototypes were), but the wider stance was found to be very beneficial during hillside operation. The position of the deck relative to the drive tire still allows for good trimming without sacrificing traction and stability.

Can you tell me the width of the rear wheels on the 48" and the 52"? Thanks

THe 52 I was looking at is almost all the way out. Maybe 2" deck overhand on each side.

tglasslawncare - Both the 48" and 52" models have 10-inch wide drive tires. The width from the outside of one drive tire to the outside of the other drive tire is almost 47" on the 48" models. On the 52" models, the factory set-up provides a width across the drive tires of nearly 51", although the wheels can be repositioned to match the spacing of the 48" models if desired.
