Not to be sarcastic: depends on where you're putting it. How far from truck?
Around bushes or just in an open space? etc.

I figure a minimum of $4.00 - $5.00 bag for labor & transportation. That's added to the cost of the mulch for an installed price. I'm paying employees.
If you are working alone then ?

I'm not sure how you are doing calculating of cubic yards? Better check your numbers.

Why not just have 2 yards dumped in your pickup? It would be a lot cheaper that way. Depending on the kind of mulch, $50 - $75 a yard, installed

sorry i did screw that up. 40 bags would be 120 cubic feet or around 4 cubic yards.

I've been using mostly bagged mulch for 25 years. For us, it is usually more efficient and less mess for doing smaller areas or areas that have intense landscaping (meaning lotsa plants)
