2,000 door hangers, What type of feed back?

I went out and had 2,000 door hangers made, and also had my trailer lettered. On the 2,000 door hangers what type of feed back do you think I will receive.

door hanger response

Hey I do tight targeted door hanger routes and have just started putting them out. about 500 so far I'ts been only a couple of days and have received 4 calls for estimates. not bad for up here in ontario where it's still cold. People tend to hang on to them and when the weather warms up then the phone starts screaming.

good luck

door hangers have had our best response. I would say expect 5 calls or so from it now. I got a call last fall from someone who had hung on to our door hanger from the spring!

right touch how many hangers do you usually put out a season and what's your cost? Just curious.

i actually use trifold brochures instead of the traditional door hangers. I find I can put more information on the brochures. I put them in a doorknob bag with a business card. I usually do around 2000 in the springtime and another 1000 early summer, mainly targeting desirable neighborhoods or neighborhoods we already have customers in. The bags are cheap, like 30-40 bucks from papermart.com (cheapest I've found) and the brochures I design myself and get profesionally printed. I believe its around $1000 for 2000 full color double sided and folded. (searched around forever with that too and you can really get ripped off with printing costs) It usually takes 3 or 4 guys 2-3 days to hang them door to door so you also have to figure that into your costs 1 guy 8 hours @ $10/hr and youre looking at another $600-$900 labor. So total about $2000 for the whole thing. Its a little more expensive than an ad, but more personal, more likely to get held on to, and you can choose your neighborhoods- heck you can even choose your houses!

I thought that was a pretty legit question. Not sure why you are knocking him.

Anywhere from a 1-2% response rate is about average. This will be for getting calls to do an estimate. Prepare for a less percentage that you will actually win. If you win them all then raise your price. Be nice and professional and you will get some biz.
