Prevailing Wages?

I was giving a commercial bid yesterday and the property manager wanted to know all the basics like how much liability ins. etc. Then he said they would also need to see proof of prevailing wages. This complex is partially owned by the city and is tax exempt. But what the heck are prevailing wages? What do I show this guy?

I would appreciate your help!

If you're not paying in the scale they require, you no get job.

Red tape = to much BS.

You're lucky they didn't hit you with how many minorities or females you have working for you

I looked up the Davis Bacon prevailing wages for our area----we are paying laborers more than the posted rate and have trouble keeping them from going elsewhere for $.25 an hour more. Rate for landscape laborers for Highway is $8.39 in this part of the state.
