What brand of khakis?
Looking for a good heavy duty pair of khakis for the crew. Carharts seem to heavy for summer work. Do you have any preferences, or brands I should look at?
Comfortable and professional looking? Last a long time? |

Dickies seem to be a big choice of many. They are made well, and the price is very reasonable. Now,...if you are looking for something NOT to necessarily work in, but just to wear, Timber Creek by Wrangler are a good choice at a reasonable price, also.

I personally prefer the twill ones that I get at the army/navy store. They're about $30 a piece but they are awesome and hold up for a while.

I just got some Wrangler Carpetenters from Wally World. I'll let ya know what I think about them. Got them over the Cargos because I don't want all the extra pocket.

Carhartt Hamilton Pant.... thats the thinner one, with a side utility pocket, 8 oz. instead of 12. Ever thought about uniform services, Cintas or UniFirst... the guys get a certain number of pants and shirts, then pay weekly rental/ laundering fee. Sure its a little money out of their pocket, but saves them the time of having to do laundry. Oh yeah, the your crews are always uniformed and clean, makes you look better.

I also wear the Hamilton Pant. It's the best I've found. Lighter weight with that "heavier" Carhartt look- and stains/dirt come out great with detergent and Oxyclean.
I used to wear Gap khakis. The were suprisingly durable and lightweight!! Also cleaned up well. I would really suggest the Hamilton pant. |
