i dunno what it is now, but last weekend, i paid 1.98 for diesel, and 1.89 for gas.
another reason diesel stays higher as the trucking industry depends on it, their consumption is less controllable than say a civilian truck. also they figure they can charge more because we are getting better mileage with our engines than a gasoline powered truck. im not over the turbo diesel thing here, this is my first one and i love it. with my programmer, the available power and fuel economy on the highway is great. if i go easy on it and set the cruise around 65-70mph, 20+mpg is acheivable. 20mpg out of a 7000+lb truck with the capability of 425hp/800ft/lb !
