Husqvarna YTH2454

I got a new YTH2454 last summer. I like the mower but I have to take the deck off after each time I mow to clean out the packed in grass. This takes about an hour to to scrap out. Does anyone else have this problem ?

Clean the deck well, let completely dry and spray with anti-stick cooking spray Pam. I don't think anything is a cure-all but the Pam spray does help considerably.......works better for me than the commercial deck sprays.

Thanks for the come back. I cleaned the deck and sprayed it with EASY SLIP by Majic . Its a graphite based coating used alot around farms. This didnt work.

1) Cut your grass more frequently rather than allowing it to get too tall. Cut no more then 1/3 of the blade at one time.
2) Spray deck with PAM, WD-40, Fluid Film or a squirt bottle with cooking oil.
3) Wash out from under deck before parking mower.

Thanks, I'll try that but I bought a 54" desk to cut more grass faster.
I got a reply from Husqvarna, they said this was normal. Thay sale a water hose adapter for the deck. I might just clean up the mower and sell it.
I second the Obama job-be-gone
