Thanks, I think we have put in a little over a grand on this project so far. It would of been much more in cost if the truck would of not already had a flat bed on it when we purchased it. Then we would been looking at easily over 5 grand just in the material for the whole thing.

Did some more work on the truck today. Got the back ends of the side rails done and started fabrication on the ramp.

Some more updated pictures of our truck project. It's almost complete. Here in these pictures we added the last supports to the dove tail and also mounted the ramp frame using bullet hinges.

Got the ramp mounted on and the inner supports also. The ramp will be a double ramp. It's a one piece ramp at the moment. 4'x8'. It will be cut down the middle. Come Monday we will cut and install the expanded metal on the ramp and the dove tail. The dove tail will also consist of diamond plate metal.

I think you guys are in the wrong line of work great fab job.
Will you have a gate assist it looks heavy.

Yall have given me a Idea with your box in the front I was thinking about enclosing the front of my open trailer to keep fert bags dry if i get caught out in the rain. It would have a hinged top to made getting to the front easy about 5-6 feet deep and as tall as my truck cab. just and idea

Thank you Falcon. All the fabrication is being done by my brother and myself. He does all the welding and I do all the cutting of the metal material. This project is taking a lot longer than we thought it would. Of course we really only have the weekends to work on it. We try and put in some time during the week after our routes but we are sometimes tired. Glad we can help in your ideas with you current trailer. If you end up doing that to your trailer do post some pics. Would like to see what it turns out like.

hahahaha, that is usually how it works!!!!! Exact same as my van build.

Oh well, at least you will get the satisfaction of using something you built yourself!
