Yeah, we don't really like to take on too many of these type of lawns unless the pay is good. But in this case the customer had a lawn that we were cutting with a regular rotary mower but he converted over to a short cut bermuda. It's just that the maintenance cost for the reel mowers are costly compared to a rotary mower. And we really don't have that good of a reel mower and we don't have enough of these accounts to go out and spend nearly $2,000 on one of those nice reel mowers.

Do you have Cora periwinkles in your area and are they having the disease problem like the std. periwinkles?

Yes we have periwinkles in our area. But I couldn't tell you if we have that disease that you are talking about. We provided some for a customer of ours about 2 months ago and they looked good and healthy. Whats the disease look like or do to the flower/plant?

The plant just withers away it looks like it needs water but the root system just dies. It is a ground disease that gets splashed up on the plant. Cora was a fix but not working any longer. The only way to get around it is to bring in new soil in the bed each year.

Can't say that we have that problem here yet.
