chicken poo is very high in nitrogen. Thats what I use for my sweet corn patch. Works wonders. Also do a tea from the poo later during growth.

alfalfa is a legume isn't it? You could use that as well. Adding legumes is a great idea. I never thought of that. Legumes improve the soil for everything around them.
Where would you get clover seeds from? would you just dig it out of the yard?
