px-6 and px-8??

I have been looking at replacing my single axle hook lift with another chassis. Anybody have any experience witht these motors? The px-8's are hard to find unless I order one. The salesmen a good friend is telling me I am crazy that there is nothing wrong with putting the px-6 in a 33k chassis. I guess I am just a little leary of putting the same motor they put in a dodge pickup, in a 33k truck. My current truck has the cat 3126 with the 3000 series rds allison. The px-6 has a 2000 rds allison and the px-8 has the 3000 series. Any thought on the px-6 and the allison 2000 series??
