Pom Pom Pine Care
I have a "pom pom" pine in my front yard that is approx. 5 years old. I have trimmed the pom poms back each year to keep the shape. This past year I trimmed them back a little further than normal since I noticed a lot of dead needles and branches in the middle of the pom poms and wanted to try and remove what I could. The tree is still producing new needles however it looks as though it is dying inside each of the pom poms. Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do for the tree? I love the tree and want to ensure I keep it alive and looking healthy. Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers, Natalie

Patience.
Sounds like it going to take a season or two to get it back into shape. Always be careful to not over-prune evergreens.
