5 hp

Was wondering if any one knows how much hp can you get out of a 5hp honda engine if you did some modifications to it? I have about 20 lawns where anything larger than a 21" mower is not an option and after buying a commercial 21" toro I'm just not impressed with the power at times so I was wondering if, a.) it's possible to monkey with the engine and get some serious power out of it and b.) is it even worth it?

The only thing I would suggest is putting a tachometer on the engine and make sure the high speed rpm's are set at 3600, Anything more is just asking for trouble.

Most 21s come out of the box at about 2800 rms - 3000 rms. So bump it up to 3600 and you should be happy.
