Weight of River Rock

Anyone know what an average yard of river rock (2"-4" rounded stone) weighs? Trying to compare prices between a yard and a ton

For what? I buy mulch all the time. Yard weighs about 800lbs. I can put 4-5 yards in my truck. No way I am getting 4 yards of stone in it.

I found out its about 2500lbs or 1.25 tons. for the large River Rock
