So I checked out some JD skids at a dealer in St Louis, Michigan today. A 325 Skid Steer with joysticks and a CT332 with Case style (H pattern) controls. Both were open cabs. They were not to bad to get in, a little unusual to me. But getting was very easy. But is it the cabed JDs that are hard to get into or open and cab JDs.
But if you want a hard machine to get in/out of, try a JD 60D Cabed Excavator.
The opening must be barley 4 feet wide! The cab is nice but our BC 430 is alot better!

The new D series Deere and Hitachi dash 3's mini excavator are better than the previous models, the doors are 6" wider, the frst generation mini's had a 24" door, and the cab was way better for leg room, but then they changed it to the round style with a narrow door.

My mistake the JD 60D was more like 2 feet wide!
Cab interior wasn't bad.

You ask some people they'll tell you the Case 1845C is one of the if not the BEST skid steer ever made. As much as I'll hate to see it go we need a new machine. Since we use it for Pallet Fork work we need something with a Vertical lift path. I like the Lift set up of the John Deere skids but we still haven't got a chance to try one out. We want to see one with a Cab and check it out but none of the JD dealers around here have one.

I will say one thing and one thing only but don't take this the wrong way. When you're 14 and green as possibly can be with this stuff, getting on here and being cocky isn't going to get you anywhere on this site. You'd learn more if you'd just sit back and listen. I was in your shoes once, it wasn't all that long ago, but I learned the hard way. Giving your .02 of a machine is fine but let it be known that when you start spouting off about this and that if the amount of equipment you've run can be counted on one hand, we'll take the information for face value. Like I said, I'm not trying to be a jerk and that isn't my intent, I just feel the need to let you know that your time would be best spent reading and asking questions instead of trying to impress somebody.

I didn't mean it that way, but it bugs me that everyone thinks the 430 is crap, well from experience, but that our 430 is one of the best machines we've used.
2,193 hours and still strong! I didn't mean it in a jerk way, I meant it in a....not jerk way.

And now back to our previously scheduled John Deere Skid Steer discussions...

I am still there and trust me, once you prove yourself and show them you wanna learn, they'll work with you. Plus it helps when you have a sense of humor, cause they will mess with you. that or I just got special treatment..
