lawn/plants burned by Malathion or Spectracide

Please help. I got spectracide to combat a tick/pest problem in my yard, but Malathion 50 was already in the sprayer. I wanted to use it up first then switch to the Spectracide. The lawn and assorted perennials (hollyhock and daisys) have been completely burned where the two pesticides may have crossed. What can I do to repair the damage? Do you think it was quantity or chemical incompatibility? Thank you.

Dead plants do not come back. Brown leaves will be replaced by new leaves if injury was not fatal. Give it time. Maybe you mixed it too strong. Read the fine print on the label. Remember you have to mix these insecticides with water before you apply. The specified amount of water. Hot weather is much more likely to result in plant burn.
