How much would you give for a 72" Toro Z Master
How much would you all give for a 2005 Toro Zmaster 72" w/ 27hp Kawasaki, it has 280 hours and is in good condition...What would you all give for that mower?? Quick I need to know!

I would not give anything for it. That machine is underpowered with the 72" deck and only a 27HP Kawasaki engine. That engine has to work way to hard to run the 72" deck. It will be useless in thick or wet conditions.

I disagree ... Toro is one of the best engineered machines on the market today !! I would probably offer around $ 5,300 ... without seeing any pictures of it.

I agree! I have a 60" toro ZTR with the 27HP Kohler on it and when it's cutting thicker grass (never over one weeks growth) it grunts not bogs but loads the engine more then a 20HP on a 52" deck does even with new or sharp blades. I can only imagine what a 72" deck would do. The bigger decks have thicker blades to turn also. Offer what ever makes you feel comfortable but try it out in some thick grass first.

Well, I just bought a 2004 Scag Turf Tiger (sold new in April 2005) with a 61" and a 27kpHakasaki liquid cooled, suspension seat, light kit, 250 hrs for $6k if that helps.

That's total BS. I had the exact same configuration in an Exmark mower and it did fine in wet or thick grass. I put 1000 hours on it w/o a gliche and sold it for $4500 back in 03'. It was never lacking any power. IN fact, I'm looking at a Hustler right now with a 72" and a 26 Kawi and I spoke to a guy with one who said it had plenty of power for him.

What you just stated here, is BS. Exmark has a totally different deck than Toro and your machine will not perform the same, even with the same engine and deck size. You are not comparing apples to apples.

hi
Ah the pitfalls of a 72 deck Firstly what is the job description for this mower 1/ regular maintenance lawn 2/ 50/50 regular maintenance and bush hog and or bi weekly 3 / rough cut work only Deck type Only a few mower brands offer optional tunnel decks [long grass cutting ] Most 72 machines are offered with the option of diesel up to 40 hp 1.7 ltrs Productivity for a 72 with a smaller engine would not be great in hard conditions partiularly if the machine has a flat top deck The smaller kawsaki would best suited to a 60 or 66 deck I do own a 597d [diesel] with 60 inch sd In tough conditions it does not perform that well 5.5 out of 10 In good conditions 9 out of 10 bi weekly cuts overgrown and wet 4 months of year tomo
