i never knew that.

maybe i can retrain myself to like curved shafts again but to be honest i don't think curved shaft trimmers are commercial.

i use stihl and i can't think of a cureved shaft trimmer in there commercial line up.

A rapidly spinning flexible drive cable with a bend in it will create some heat fo sho. I seem to recall that folks that mow/trim in cemeteries like these for their versatility.

My dealer gave me a curved shaft to use for 1/2 day while they repaired my Stihl. I then knew that I'd never own a curved shaft trimmer.

I would've used the "both" selection if it existed, it just depends on whether I'm trimming grass or edging against a street/sidewalk with a trimmer.
