Kohler Y pipe

Last year with about 1100 hours on the engine the Y pipe got a hole in it near where it connects to the muffler, the hole became a huge crack that went all the way through and seperated from the muffler and became VERY VERY LOUD, like a Harley constently running 14 hours all day long. Under warrenty both were replaced. Yesterday with about 2000 hours on the engine the Y pipe crapped out AGAIN!!!! WTF!!!
and theres also a pin hole in the connection to the muffler so thats about to go too!! 200 for a muffler 75 for the Y pipe and 150 for the labor for them to replace it all.
How the hell can such a simple thing happen essentually on a yearly basis now? They said they had just replaced one the day before too and it happens reguarly and on Kolher only. I understand stuff wears out, but to drop $400 every year for such a stupid and pointless thing only to never really solve the problem pisses me off.
Have they really not updated the pipe by now to handle the lean running Kohler engines from eating through the pipe?

We made a change in the pipe in recent months, the connections on the pipe and muffler are now stainless steel.
You can see this by checking it with a magnet, the magnet will not stick to the stainless parts, the y connection and the pipe on the muffler.
Your dealer should have installed these new ones this time and you should be fine.
Is this on a EFI unit?

Same problem on Super Z 30 HP Kohler. After several welds(now has only 615 hours on it) We felt that the top of muffler not being supported was causing it to "shake loose" at Y pipe. We welded a bracket to the top of the shroud and then bolted it to the "engine lift bracket" to stop the vibrating. Working so far.
