Sod in East Tennesse

Hey guy's, thanks for your thoughts on my yard in Knoxville area. One question for you: the builder came by today, and offered to pay half to install sod in my yard. I have had sod in my last two homes, but they were in Michigan. From past experience, sod is instantly green, but needs a lot of water and fertilizer to keep it that way. Once seed is established, it is more robust, and needs less water.

Any thoughts / ideas about sod in East TN? Will it burn up easy? I believe the sod will be a fescue type sod. How much water will it need?
