I used to use Solo. Still own a couple. I've heard the SP has improved since I loast tried one. I'm sure either will suit you well. Some of the old timers around here swear by the Birchmeier (sp?), but good luck finding parts in stock anywhere around here.
Whatever you choose, make sure you can get parts from a "stocking dealer" or at least one that can get parts in a timely fasion. Independents have a tendancy to change what they stock pretty regularly, often leaving you up the creek when you break a wand or lose a nozzle cap.

Remember when those old SOLOs would break and pesticide would run down your butt crack?
I just use the ECHOs, the wands last a season but the rest is tough.
