i like rmax a lot, I love my edger and trimmer. I am leaning tward The 7001 or8001, the main thing I do not like about it is how heavy it is, the sthil is nice as well, My fav peice of equipment is my exmark 48 and my 2401 trimmer

Most people seem to follow the leader with anything in life and hence Stihl and Redmax receiving the most references but I would not look to a 4 cycle blower (Stihl) unless I had too and the Redmax EBZ8001 is a bit heavy. The EBZ7001 is much more reasonable in terms of weight but less powerful than the Shindaiwa EB802 which is also 2cycle and relatively light. I own an EB802 and can only say good things about it and so far I have not heard of any issues with the unit. Though sporting a larger displacement than the EBZ8001 (79cc vs 72cc) the EB802 is less weight and more comfortable. Power is comparable to the EBZ8001 and the build quality is second to none. Given the fact that you can purchase the Shindaiwa EB802 for 50.00 less than the 8001, I think that it should be a no brainer to go with an Shindaiwa EB802 at this time.

We've run SHin, Redmax and sthil. We still have the Sthil BR600 which gets almost no use. The Shins where sold and the Redmax are preferred. We run the Redmax EB7001 and EBZ8001

BR600 ALL DAY. Most landscapers have had to do little to no service on these units till after two seasons work. New filters, spark plug, quick valve adjustment, throttle adjustment, and off for a another two seasons of hard work, before there seen again. More powerful, more comfortable, and more environmentally friendly and fuel effecient.

No EB630's

I looked at the new Shin but after many issues with the new Shin trimmers I choose not to go the Shin route right now.

The company I used to work for had a shin. blower, it had a mind of it's own and was heavy, the redmax 7001's were heavy and very uncomfortable, my BR600 is by far the best blower.
