scag barn find
put a ad on craigslist for a scag walk behind and this is what i got
paid 300 for it. i had the hydros checked and spindles are tight. gonna clean it up abit and put a bigger engine on it. i dont think the 13hp craftsman ic gold engine is gonna spin those G6 blades. bought a new 20hp kawasaki to put on it. with all said and done i might have 1100-1200 into it.

paint is faded real bad but good on frame, gonna paint the deck and rims and put a clear coat on the rest of mower should look pretty nice, tires are almost new they still have a few nubs on them. plus now i have a go cart motor for my next winter project

I got a 36" for $75 and mine went into service last week.....but mine
is belt drive. The real nice thing is that manual actuated blade, no clutch. You might have to do some rigging to keep the belt on when it unwraps. Scag had a bunch of bolts with washers welded on them right next to the belt to keep it on.

Nice find. I love projects like these cause I like to tear them apart and fix em up like new. Where did you find a 20HP Kawi at so cheap?
