Hustler 260K main mower belt replacment HELP!!

First of all let me tell you guys how happy I am to have found this site!!!! I have a Hustler 260K that I have recently purchased for maintaining our 22 acres and motocross track. I broke the main belt, the large one that drives the blades. I purchased a new one from the closest dealership (hours away) and can't figure out how to route it and get it on the tractor. If anybody can give me some pointers on what to do I would be so grateful. Thanks in advance, Mark Grant

Get a manual, it'll pay for itself, last time I was at my dealer, they photocopied one for me for free. One hint, not knowing anything at all about this machine: V shaped idlers are made to run on the front, V shaped part of the belt, and flat idler pulleys are made to run on the back (flat) side of the belt. With that info, and time, you should be able to figure it out! Oh, and welcome to the site!

Thanks for the welcome! I am hours away from a dealer, but today will try to find a manual online or calling the closest dealer. I wish it was as simple as you describe...if it was a v belt it would be, but it's a double sided V belt and runs pulleys on both sides. It looks like I'll have to drop the deck from what I can see. I was really hoping that somebody could help a brother out and give me some specific tips for doing this job, but I'll get it handled. I have a Bobcat 533 that I'll be asking some questions about too!!!!

I have absolutly no idea, but this may serve as a "must do" to all future related issues to:
Take some very indepth photo's how the belt is snaked onto those pulleys.
