New House

Hey All,

As some of you read in my previous posts I moved from Columbus OH to New Bern NC. I am not sure if this post is in the right area, but I wanted to post some pics of my new house and also get some suggestions on landscape design for the front yard.

Here it is. What I need help with is lighting up the house...I am thinking of all floods on the spots not lit up by the porch lights and some basic pathway lights...then some floods on various parts of the future landscaping.

Second thing I need help with is this kidney/bean shaped island. The trees that are in place in the front yard are all pretty much coming down, I want to open up the yard and do some other things and alot of them are half dead. The trees that are to the left of the property will be staying but will be trimmed up. I want to incorporate palms into the island and also will be transplanting the one that is too close to the house now. I am also a large fan of sky pencil Japanese Holly and similar as well as box woods. Not a large evergreen fan personally.

Just looking for some ideas before I tear into it. Especially on the future "Palm Island". I just cant get an idea on it or picture in my head, but the wife wants it....

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

Clean the gutters, there is greenery growing in there.
