I have an 05 Z Master with the 52 inch Turbo Force deck and 23 hp Kawasaki.

I bought this roller kit off Ebay and it stripes so much better than the homemade kit I made.

Toro Striper

I bought mine on a Sunday night and got it at a 10% discount. Let me see if I have the coupon code as well.

I'll take some pictures tonight of it mounted on and I could use a cut so I may cut and take a picture.

It does a much better job and provides good scalping protection as well. It is a little weird at first with the adjustment of it, but once you try some different settings and find the right one you will love it. However it will lock you in to a lowest setting and you will have to remove it if you want to cut lower than what it is set at.

I love mine, just don't like creating stripes on my father in laws crappy lawn.

The one I bought is an off brand that is made by a specialty company who was contracted by a Toro dealer to make these kits.

Its high quality stuff. I drop the deck on mine down to 2 inches to really stripe with it and it has taken some abuse on my bumpy yard.

I'll get some pictures and measurements for you tonight and post them up so you can make sure it will fit.

I do know that the Toro brand one for my 05 was like $400 or so and this kit was under $200.

The Toro one for my unit comes with a lever to pull up the roller or put it down which is a nice feature. The fixed unit is on all the time and can only be removed with the two 3/8 bolts on each side. So its going to stripe when you are mowing unless you take it off.

Here you go. It looks like there is about 1 3/4 inch between the back of my TF deck to the wheel. And the roller is sandwiched between.

The more I think about it I would rather have a lever controlled striper. This is a fixed one. When the deck is down you are striping. Plus I'm sure the dealer may cut you a deal on the Toro Brand one whereas mine being a 2005 and used they want close to $400.

Here are the pictures. Sorry I don't have any of my lawn as I am embarrassed to post them as I had a ton of clover and crap grass that I have taken care of and waiting on aerating and reseeding in the fall. Maybe I'll get some stripe pics this weekend as I have some heat stressed grass right now.

I cant justify spending 200$ on something that doesnt increase productivity or revenue. The people pay so they dont have to cut their lawn, not for stripes.

I can't see spending $8k on a lawnmower, but that is just me.

I personally am a homeowner who happens to cut 5 lawns in my neighborhood. 3 of those pay me, 1 is a relative and one is a disabled person (who I will never accept money from). I personally love the look of striped lawn, especially when my lawn is not up to par with those guys in my neighborhood who dumped $7k into sod last year. But I will get there through hard work and a lot of research. Striping makes even crabgrass look good.

I've gotten a lot of interest in picking up other lawns in my neighborhood by how mine looks striped.

If I did this full time then I wouldn't give two craps about stripes but when I want it to look a certain way I will spend the $200. Especially when I spent $4k on a lawnmower when Lowes has them for $1000.

Plus there are people who put down patterns which may require and additional 20 minutes who get paid extra, but for some with a lot of accounts its not worth it.

To each his own.

The deck is down in the pictures on the grass and where the tape measure is. I have it set low. I can cut at 2 1/2 if I wanted to.

On the concrete its up in the transport section.
