Encore Pro-48 Wb kill switch?????

I bought a used Encore Pro-48 walkbehind mower, and it has the speed adj, on the back controlled by a lever, its a pain, and ive had it get away a few times, and it doesnt stop. there has got to be a kill switch, or something, as if it gets away, it wont stop. does anyone know where this would be or how i could put one on it????? thanks db

Im not 100% sure what you mean.. But, on mine there is a piece that you hold down on both sides when you are holding the grips. When you let go of both it should kill it. Does that make any sense?

HERE is a parts manual, Scroll down to the handle assembly. You will see the safety handles mtchockey30 mentioned. Part #'s 2-3-4-5 and spring #6, You will also see the switch on the left handle bar #25.....

ok???? on mine, there is a lever under the handles, that controls the speed. all the way left is No forward motion, and all the way right is full speed. the levers on the grip turn and if you squeeze all the way down, will go in reverse. if you let go of the grip levers, it just goes straight. you have to manualy reach down and push the lever under the handle bars, back to the left to stop it. hope it makes sence. i guess i need an operators manual for this , cause my mower doest work as you say?????

thanks db

OK db,

You must have the Hydro unit ? (no model numbers posted)

Take a look at THIS manual, It still has the same style safety switch handles.

Without a model number which probably wouldn't help much since Encore's website has a lot to be desired..... No.

Can you post some pictures of your handle and control assemblies from different angles ?
