Urban Clear-Cut Scenerio Uphill & Nice Landscape Deluged w/ Muddy Water

Got a call this week about a drainage issue. As I understand this, the neighboring property uphill had trees and vegetation, but was clearcut and excavated to bare soil. Leaving it exposed for a winter rain pummeling.

When I got there, it became apparent why the man called me like 6:30am in the morning.

No erosion fence, straw bales or mulch on the uphill lot.

Soil is washing under the fence, and muddy water deluged their water feature. The downhill lot is thickly forested with old evergreens and a sort of oriental landscape them around the house, which gives way to a natural landscape in the woodsy area.

The homeowner shared that water got into the house, if I heard him right.

The two photos are the pond and some landscape of the downhill house. And a photo of the uphill house having construction done. I used an ultra wide angle lens, so the uphill house is huge. The bare earth is like an acre.

Google Earth shows a lot of leaf canopy on both properties. It seems like a lot may have been cleared-away uphill to achieve the bare earth sitting there presently.
