260Z bogging down

Found out the one of my mowers removed baffle from underneath deck. Will this cause not to discharge grass fast enough when I get in heavy grass in turn bogging down mower. I thought all a baffle does is create vacume hope I am wrong.

Sorry man let me clarify. On of the guys I have mowing for me removed the baffle. Because it came apart from the deck when it got hung on a sidewalk. So instead of repairing it, he thought it would work as well without it, so it was removed.
