The 8900 is quite small. It is very thin, a little wider than a typical newer cell but slips in my jeans or shorts pocket no problem. Takes up less space than my old Motorolla V551 and KRZR.

So usefull and now many more apps getting made for them like I-phone. The blackberry is more business orientated.

Thanks for the information. I've just spent some time online checking out the Curve. But, I learned my web access moves from $5/mo (Mobile Web), to $30/mo with a Blackberry. As much as I wanted to go in that direction, I think the added $25/mo for Verizon web access just killed the idea. I didn't realize the added charge was needed to support BB devices.

Blackberry...dont know how I ran a business without it! once you learn to use it, it will become another impotent "machine" in your business.

The price goes up for that data plan b/c the blackberry uses so much more. You can check weather, stocks, news, emails everything rite from your hand. Keep in mind as well that the extra $ (data plan) is a tax write off.

Ditto the Curve being a great phone. Ditto Nextel sucking. I bought the curve for me and my lead forman.
Email is great. Nextel "3 G" network is comparable to a 56k modem. Its good for surf and squatting, but not much more. But Lawnsite does work well on it though!

Get the new BB Tour. It is like mixing a Storm and a Curve together, keep the good of both and throw out the bad! It is great!

What does the Tour do that the Curve cannot?

New operating system. More apps for this OS. A bit smaller and thinner than the Curve but still has a full keyboard, tour has a much better screen. Some networks have the NEW Curve and it is very similar to the tour but has a different keyboard.
